Songhoy Blues

This event has passed.
Malian rock band Songhoy Blues formed after a jihadi incursion forced them into exile.
They have quickly become stars of a new generation of international West African bands, combining traditional Songhai style and desert blues with an eclectic palette of R&B, tight riffs, funky licks and a punk-edge, to create their unmistakable sound.
Returning to the Howard Assembly Room for the first time since 2015 with their “joyous” album Résistance (The Observer), Songhoy Blues sweep all before them in their rise to musical greatness.
