Dublin-based acoustic band, Slow Moving Clouds combine roots in Nordic and Irish traditional music with minimalist and baroque influences to create a rich, darkly atmospheric sound.
On their new album Starfall, they blend traditional and contemporary melodies, Nordic vocals, and layered string sounds of cello, violin and nyckelharpa (a traditional Swedish string instrument). Their music has been compared to both Icelandic minimalist pop legends Sigur Rós and Irish traditional supergroup The Gloaming.
