2025 sees Penguin Cafe bringing the music of the legendary Penguin Cafe Orchestra back to life, with UK dates featuring a collection of Penguin Cafe Orchestra classics, celebrating the unique sound that has captivated audiences worldwide. To coincide with this revival, six original Penguin Cafe Orchestra albums are being re-released on vinyl for the first time since their initial pressings, courtesy of [INTEGRAL]/Universal Music Recordings at the end of 2024 and will be available to buy at live shows.
Founded in the 1970s by English guitarist Simon Jeffes, Penguin Cafe Orchestra was born from his desire to create an ‘imaginary folklore’ from his own eclectic tastes. In 2009, Jeffes’ son Arthur founded Penguin Cafe as a continuation to his father’s project. The music weaves elements of folk music and minimalism.
