Efterklang

Monday 28 February 2022

This event has passed.

Emerging from lockdown with a new album for 2021, Danish musical adventurers and legendary live performers Efterklang make their Howard Assembly Room debut as part of an extensive European tour.

From glitchy electronica to 70-piece choirs, baroque orchestration, an album recorded in an abandoned Soviet mining town, and even an opera, Efterklang have built a reputation as tireless and brilliant innovators since their inception in Copenhagen in 2001.

Their last release, 2019’s Altid Sammen, embraced “belief and togetherness” and their ambition to break down the distance between performer and audience. Over the past year they’ve found typically inventive ways to keep in touch with their supporters, but Mads, Rasmus and Casper are as eager as the rest of us to experience the thrill of live music again. We can’t wait to have them back in Leeds.

This performance was rescheduled from January 28 due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic. Tickets for the original concert are valid for the new date.
