2017’s BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Catriona Morison performs a programme of Brahms, Schumann and Mahler lieder.
Her characterful voice conjures romantic nostalgia in Brahms’ An die Nachtigall and Meine Liebe ist grün, the delicate fragrance of lime trees in Mahler’s Rückert Lieder and heartbreak in Schumann’s Gedichte der Königin Maria Stuart.
She is accompanied by pianist and Leeds Lieder Director Joseph Middleton.
