Little Listeners: Carnival of the Animals

10 September - 19 November 2022

This event has passed.

What sound does an elephant make? Or a tortoise? Or a kangaroo?

Back by popular demand, a 14-piece ensemble of fabulous players from the Orchestra of Opera North present this relaxed concert for young children and their families, hosted by Marie Claire Breen, Opera North Vocal Animateur. Seating is unreserved on mats and cushions and moving around and responding naturally to the music is actively encouraged!

During this magical interactive event, you will go on a unique journey with your child as you experience the wonderful music of Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals really close up!

Arrival is welcomed from 30 minutes before the performances, with a creative craft activity available in the atrium.
