Brudenell Piano Sessions
This event has passed.
Brudenell Piano Sessions return to Howard Assembly Room for an early-summer edition of one of Leeds’ most unique, captivating and varied live music events – a chance to appreciate and enjoy the breadth of music composed for and performed on the piano, in a relaxed, friendly and engaging atmosphere. It’s piano music, for everyone.
We are delighted to welcome two Bristol-based artists to perform in Leeds for the first time:
t l k is an artist, vocalist and producer whose live show blends a palette of electronic minimalism, ambient soundscape, skewed rhythms, experimental sound design and neo-classical sensibilities; and Oliver Brouwer, a composer, singer and pianist whose compositions are touched by expansive and uninhibited improvisations.
To complete the lineup, we’re thrilled to have Oxford-based Brazilian pianist Késia Decoté with us, after her performance with us last year was sadly curtailed due to Covid. Késia has a special affinity with contemporary music, and has been developing a diverse career performing as a soloist, improviser, and chamber musician.
Join Brudenell Piano Sessions host & curator Simeon Walker for another special late-afternoon gathered around the Steinway.
Brudenell Piano Sessions is a Pay What You Can event. We recommend reserving free tickets via the booking link to avoid disappointment – monetary donations can be made on the day in cash, on card or via the QR-code payment link.
In collaboration with the Brudenell Social Club.
