Richard Linklater’s Before trilogy was filmed over 18 years, and follows the same couple, Céline and Jesse (played by Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke) as they meet, fall in and out of love, and travel through some of Europe’s most glamorous locations.

Nine years after the events of Before Sunset, in Before Midnight, we encounter Céline and Jesse as a couple, with twin girls. On holiday in the south of Greece they assess their lives, their fulfilled and unfulfilled ambitions, and their hopes for the future, in the conclusion of the trilogy.
