A Little Night Music

Stephen Sondheim

1-16 July 2022

This event has passed.

A weekend away in the country. A chance meeting between ex-lovers. A game of romantic musical chairs.

Dame Josephine Barstow*, Quirijn de Lang and Sandra Piques Eddy are back by popular demand in a tale of hopelessly mismatched couples who find themselves confronted by their own vanities and deceptions.

Glistening with wit and romance, composer Sondheim’s tantalising tale flirts with musical theatre and opera, and includes the iconic song ‘Send in the Clowns’.

Featuring members of the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North, and directed by Leeds Playhouse’s Artistic Director James Brining, expect a glorious evening that is heart-warming and heart-breaking in equal measure.

A co-production with Leeds Playhouse.
