The Opera North Future Fund enables Opera North to continue its bold and ambitious artistic programme and extend work into new areas, across higher education, community engagement and audience development.

Since its creation in 2009, the Future Fund has supported over 50 projects. The breadth of support has included the highly acclaimed production of the Ring cycle, a collaboration with the British Council delivering work in Mumbai and the creation of the first post-graduate diploma in music education, in partnership with the University of Leeds, University of Auckland and New Zealand Opera.

The Trustees of the Opera North Future Fund help to support Opera North’s vision of delivering work to the widest possible audiences. Together they ensure all financial support is used wisely and efficiently.
