Climb aboard the Polar Express for a festive family film screening for all who truly believe.
Awake in bed on the night of Christmas Eve, 1956, a disillusioned young boy notices a steam train rumbling down his street. Running outside in his dressing gown and slippers, he is told to climb aboard by the conductor, and an unforgettable ride to the North Pole begins. Via herds of roving caribou, runaway carriages, and a spiral chute leading straight into Santa’s workshop, it’s a beautifully animated journey of discovery. Narrated by Tom Hanks, who also voices characters including the boy, his father and Santa Claus, it’s guaranteed to awaken old fashioned Christmas delight in young and old alike.
Join us before the screening from 2pm for a series of relaxed craft activities with live music from a pianist, and refreshments in the atrium with festive songs from a string duo.
