A folk singer in the classic sense, Willie Watson is a storyteller and traveller, making modern folk music that is rooted in tradition.
A former member of The Old Crow Medicine Show, he breathes new life into songs made famous by Leadbelly, Reverend Gary Davis, Furry Lewis and Bascom Lamar Lunsford.
With a quick vibrato and rich range, he’s a balladeer on Gallows Pole and a bluesman on When My Baby Left Me. Dry Bones finds him crooning and hollering over a bouncing banjo while Take This Hammer closes on a repentant Gospel note, with Watson singing out to the heavens.
Hailing from Nashville, The Harmaleighs—Haley Grant (lead vocals, guitar) and Kaylee Jasperson (bass, harmonies)— craft honest, poetic, passionate, and powerful songs at the crossroads of indie, folk, pop and Americana.
