An alfresco summer evening of operatic favourites and classical masterpieces in Millennium Square.
Join us for glorious arias from Puccini’s La bohème and Tosca, Verdi’s Rigoletto, Il Trovatore and more, plus sweeping orchestral blockbusters from Tchaikovsky, Dvořák and Borodin.
The Orchestra of Opera North and conductor Martin André are joined by Opera North favourite, soprano Elin Pritchard, and award-winning young tenor David Junghoon Kim, who makes his Company debut in popular classics including ‘Nessun dorma‘.
There are also special appearances from outgoing Orchestra Leader David Greed, who says a last goodbye with Massenet’s ‘Méditation‘ from Thaïs, and from brilliant young Ukrainian soprano Inna Husieva.
