OPUS Out Of School Project

OPUS is a unique out of school project that gives young people aged 8-18 in Leeds the opportunity to experience the best cultural events the city has to offer. From exploring wide and varying art forms with professional artists to creating their own work, this is an opportunity for young people of all ages and interests to get involved.
OPUS1 – 8-11 year olds
OPUS1 is a new project running for five days during half term. It gives young people the chance to:
• Work with professional artists
• Try out art activities and make new friends
• Create and perform a brand new piece of musical theatre at the end of the week
OPUS2 – 11-14 year olds
OPUS2 is a group of young people meeting weekly from November 2010. They will:
• Receive free tickets to attend music and arts performances
• Try out arts activities, attend performances and make new friends
• Develop performance skills and create new work.
OPUS3 – 14-18 year olds
OPUS3 is a group of young people meeting weekly from November 2010. They will:
• Receive free tickets to attend a wide range of music and arts performances
• Meet for weekly workshop sessions with professional artists
• Create new performance works of their own
